The client lives in an original mid century modern house in CT. They needed more room for their family and guests and did not want to change the layout of their main house.
Denise Davies worked with the architect and contractor from the ground up to come up with a design that would keep with the aesthetic of the house and landscaping of the house, but would also be a hip and modern space.
One of the clients favorite elements is the bar, backed by a turquoise patterned wallpaper. This fun wallpaper was the jumping-off point and would set the tone for the colors and the mood of the rest of the house. The bar area has a lacquered base and a painted glass top. This useful nook contains all the amenities for guests and visitors, including a coffee bar, kitchenette and a fridge.
